guide for audiences

DAM is currently working on the publication of a Guide for Audiences, a tool to help Montreal presenters who would like to diversify and access audiences of all origins.

This guide will respond to the needs for institutions in Montreal and throughout Quebec to learn more about the diverse cultural communities. It will seek to encourage the integration of members of diverse cultural communities into the institutional arts and culture networks.

By encouraging diversification and increasing the attendance of the general public of all origins, this project will also help to decrease the ghettoizing of immigrant populations. The guide will be made available online in a Wiki format which will allow members to update their own information. The guide will come with training offered to presenters and programmers in order to help them in their audience development. This complementary training will be an opportunity for these presenters to discover the many resources available to them to help in reaching diverse audiences.

Check this page regularly to keep up with the status of this project.
